Adulthood is like looking both ways before crossing the street and then getting hit by an airplane.
Keeping up on my blog was much easier when I was only working full time over the summer, not working 30 hours a week while take 16 credit hours…
I have not wrote on here for awhile, but here is a little life update:
I am graduating in April with my bachelor’s degree and also recently got accepted into Western Kentucky University’s Organizational Leadership graduate program!
I am so excited to be getting all of this exciting news. It is a little overwhelming; however. I have had a lot of growing up to do since this semester started, as I just got my own place and have to be an actual adult!
Working is hard. College is hard. Applying for graduate programs is hard.
And though adulting is complicated, I would not have it any other way. I am so grateful for the education I have gotten at USI and the fact that I chose a school where I can get my bachelor’s degree in only two years. I am so grateful that I get to continue my education at another wonderful academic institution. I was also offered a job for the college of business at USI for my last semester there, and I am so excited for that.
Thanksgiving is coming up!
I guess what I am trying to say is that although life (ESPECIALLY ADULTING) gets a little messy, hard, complicated, tricky, and all other words you could think of, try to think of the things you can be grateful for, especially with Thanksgiving coming up.
While I am constantly busy trying to get all of the things done I need to get done and planning my next move for my academic and professional life, I often try to reflect on what I have that allows me all of these opportunities.
Without the help from my driven parents, I would not be anywhere close to where I am now. I learned my drive, compassion, and creativity from both of them and I am so grateful for them also.
So keep working hard, being grateful, and don’t forget your coffee!
